The State Library of Victoria hosts a year-round program of talks and exhibitions, as does The Wheeler Centre. Melbourne's meeting place, Federation Square hosts a variety of talks including the Melbourne Conversation series, part of City of Melbourne’s Knowledge Melbourne platform.

The majority of the bookshops run programs, launches, talks and happenings. Readings has a lively events calendar and Reader's Feast runs events and mini festivals, just to mention a few. Even our comic shops run panel sessions and signings. Libraries across Victoria also offer a full calendar of discussions and events.
