CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Publication of a special edition anthology for “Hola Melbourne! Festival of Latin American Culture and Ideas”

This is a call for submissions to be part of a special anthology for Hola Melbourne! Festival of Latin American Culture and Ideas, a multidisciplinary festival produced by 4Diverse with support from the City of Port Phillip and RMIT University.

This publication will gather the work of writers both in Australia and in Mexico, producing work in either Spanish or English. Submissions will be accepted in 2 categories: poetry and short story. Submissions must be original and unpublished.

The prize for the selected authors will be a professional translation of their submission into English or Spanish, and the publication of both texts (original and translation) in the book which will be be released simultaneously in Australia and Mexico.

The theme of this call for submissions is “distance”.

Details:
Poetry – Maximum length: 2 pages, double space, Arial 12pt font.
Short Story – Maximum length: 5 pages, double space, Arial 12pt font.
Submissions must be signed with a pseudonym.
The deadline for submissions will be January 25th, 2019. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Submissions need to be made through the respective link on the festival’s website: holamelbournefest.com
The winners will be selected by a panel whose decision will be final.
The results will be made public in February 2019 through the festival’s website.
Each of the selected writers will receive two copies of the book when published.
Any cases not considered, will be left to the discretion the editorial team.
