Melbourne Asia Game Changer Awards 2022

RMIT Culture2

Event Date: 7 December 2022
Author / Presenters: RMIT Culture and Asia Society Australia

RMIT Culture is delighted to be partnering with Asia Society Australia for the 2022 Melbourne Asia Game Changer Awards, taking place at The Capitol on the 7 December.

Launched last year, the Melbourne Asia Game Changer initiative showcases under-recognised and inspirational individuals who are making a positive contribution to Australia’s relationship with Asia.

The series brings greater acknowledgement to Australians who are making a meaningful impact across the region in the fields of the arts, health, science, sport, business, media and community advocacy.

The evening promises to be a night of celebration convened by broadcaster, radio producer and journalist, Beverley Wang, creator of the ABC podcast ‘It's Not A Race’. Our Game Changers will join Beverley for a panel discussion on stage to share their achievements with the wider Asia Society community.

This years Game Changers include: Ling Ang, a Melbourne-based multimedia artist; Dr Ruwangi Fernando, an IT specialist with experience in AI; Melbourne City Councillor, Cr Philip Le Liu, and Sophie Galaise, Managing Director of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

This wonderful event will be followed by a celebratory cocktail party in reception to celebrate the Game Changers and bring an end to a busy 2022.
