Most Underrated Book Award 2018 winner announcement
Small Press Network
The winner of the Small Press Network's Most Underrated Book Award (MUBA) will be announced at a special ceremony on the evening of Thursday 22 November at the Wheeler Centre. Entry is free, but bookings are essential. See the Small Press Network website for details.
Now in its seventh year, the Small Press Network’s ‘Most Underrated Book Award’ celebrates hidden gems – engaging and creative books across all genres that deserve to reach a wider audience. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Australian Booksellers Association, the award gives the winning title enhanced exposure among booksellers, and through them, readers.
Previous winners are 'The Invisible War: A tale on two scales' (Ailsa Wild, Briony Barr, Gregory Crocetti, Ben Huchings, Jeremy Barr, Scale Free Network), 'Creating Cities' (Marcus Westbury, Niche), 'The Grapple Annual No. 1' (ed by Duncan Felton, Grapple Publishing), 'A Wrong Turn at the Office of Unmade Lists' (Jane Rawson, Transit Lounge), 'Fish-Hair Woman' (Merlinda Bobis, Spinifex Press), and inaugural winner 'The Cook' (Wayne Macauley, Text Publishing).
