We are delighted to have artist Benjamin Gray join us for a very special discussion about his book, Extinct.

This is a collection of artworks from established and emerging Australian fine artists, each depicting an Australian animal that has already, for various reasons, tumbled over the edge into extinction. Extinct laments their loss, but also celebrates their former existence, diversity and significance. The stunning artworks are accompanied by stories of each animal, highlighting the importance of what we have lost, so that we appreciate what we have not lost yet.

Gray will be joined by:

John Woinarski - Among Australia’s most prominent ecologists, author of several books including ‘A Bat’s End’ - CSIRO Pub and global biodiversity expert.

Nadine Christensen - Renowned artist and art practice teacher at Victorian College of the Arts - contributor to Extinct

Brendan Huntely - Renowned musician and artist - contributor to Extinct.

This event is free to attend but bookings are essential.

Please book here.
