Join us at 6pm on Wednesday 14 November for an evening of reading and conversation with David Sornig. David will be talking about his new book, Blue Lake (Scribe).
David Sornig is the the author of the novel, Spiel, and has published short stories, articles and reviews in the Griffith Review, Adelaide Review, Melbourne Review, Harvard Review and Kill Your Darlings, among others. He has been supported by a Charles Pick Fellowship in Creative Writing, grants from Arts SA, the Australia Council, Arts Victoria, and a State Library of Victoria Creative Fellowship. His new book, Blue Lake: finding Dudley Flats and the West Melbourne Swamp, documents a historical, biographical and personal excursion through the urban blind spot between West Melbourne and the Maribyrnong River, once home to a vast wetland and the Depression-era Dudley Flats shanty town.
The Salon Series brings together our community of writers and readers in a program of informal readings and discussions held in the intimate setting of the bookshop.
Join us at 6pm on the second Wednesday of the month.
No bookings required. Glass of wine on the house.
