Brunswick Bound

On the first Friday night of each month, Brunswick Bound Upstairs hosts a night of local author readings.
It's your chance to discover a new author and for authors to discover new audiences.
In February the event will feature authors Ender Baskan (A Portrait of Alice as a Young Man), Amy Bodossian (Wide Open) and Wayne Marshall (Shirl).
Each author will read from their work and there will be a short Q&A afterwards.
Light refreshments will be served at the event.
Ender Baskan is the author of the novel A Portrait of Alice as a Young Man published by Vre Books. His work revolves around the condition of the contemporary psychosphere. Poetics, revolution and the Australian Dream are some of his prime obsessions. He is currently writing postcards. Ender is the recipient of the 2014/15 Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship for Prose.
Amy Bodossian is a critically acclaimed performer and published poet who's appeared on ABC’s Spicks and Specks and Please Like Me, performed at major festivals across Australia, headlined Melbourne's top poetry events, been nominated for a Green Room Award and won the 2107 Melbourne Spoken Word Convenor's Choice Award. Sh'e been published in Solid Air Anthology and the Dan Anthology. Wide Open is her written word debut. 'There isn't a pigeonhole in existence that could possibly hold Amy Bodossian. Wayne Marshall is a writer and musician. His stories have appeared in Going Down Swinging, Island, Review of Australia Fiction and elsewhere. He is the co-founder of the Peter Carey Short Story Award.
