It’s not raining, but it is an event celebrating the art of cats and dogs! We will be joined by co-editors Laurie Benson (Curator, International Art, NGV) and Imogen Mallia-Valjan (Curatorial Project Officer, International Decorative Arts and Design, NGV) as we discuss why this exhibition is so close to our collective hearts. From cattle dogs to lap dogs, divine felines to the black cats of superstition, Cats & Dogs explores humanity’s deep connection to these animals through more than 250 works of art and design at an exhibition at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. Cats and Dogs in Art & Design is co-published by the National Gallery of Victoria and Thames & Hudson, Australia Dogs welcome. Free, but bookings are essential.
