Join us for a glass of wine and to hear winner of the Prime Minister's Prize for Fiction, Lisa Gorton, chat about her fiction and poetry.
Lisa Gorton lives in Melbourne and writes poetry, essays and fiction. Lisa studied at the universities of Melbourne and Oxford, and wrote a doctorate on John Donne's poetry and prose. Lisa edited Black Inc's Best Australian Poems 2013 and co-edited, with Toby Fitch, Australian Poetry's 2016 Anthology. Her most recent poetry collection is Hotel Hyperion. Her novel The Life of Houses won the 2016 NSW Premier's People's Choice Award and (jointly) the Prime Minister's Prize for Fiction.
The Paperback Bookshop's Salon Series brings together our community of writers and readers in a program of informal readings and discussions, right here in the intimate setting of the bookshop. Join us every second Wednesday at 6pm, no bookings required, glass of wine on the house.
