A storewide 20% off sale (off full-priced items with a handful of exceptions), for our Booklover loyalty customers (including people who join on the day - it's free!). People that RSVP on our Registration page (not yet live but will be soon when we start properly advertising probably next week), will go into the draw to win prizes, both Kids & Adult prize packs available. Various prizes, however the kids 1st prize is a GIANT Very Hungry Caterpillar PLUSH toy!

The launch of our Children's Reading Guide for 2019, which has a heavy focus on Australian authors, to #ReadAustralian.

And to support the new Reading Guide, & LYB Day, we'll be donating $1 from every Children's book sold to the Dymocks' Children Charity, which buys books & libraries for schools that can't afford them! For the last two years Dymocks have been running the inaugural ‘Books for Kids’ campaign. The combined results from the past two years have raised enough funds to deliver over $180,000 worth of books that will go back into local communities via nominated beneficiaries, truly allowing the DCC to make a difference to children’s lives and literacy levels. Due to this success, from Saturday 3rd - Sunday 11th August, Dymocks will be repeating the Books for Kids campaign to continue helping support local literacy through the Dymocks Children’s Charities. This is a fantastic opportunity for Dymocks to reinforce our commitment to literacy in our local communities, and more importantly to Australian children.

This year’s campaign will be the same as last year- for every children’s book you buy, $1 will be donated to the DCC. The timing of this campaign works well as it will start 2 weeks before the CBCA 2019 book week running from 17th-23rd August, we see this as a key opportunity to support Love Your Bookshop day as well, as parents will likely be doing their research and books will be top of mind.
