Waste Not – an inspiring conversation with Erin Rhoads

Books for Cooks

Event Date: 19 November 2019
Author / Presenters: Erin Rhoads in conversation with Books for Cooks

On Tuesday 19th November we are very excited to be having a chat in-store with zero-waste author, eco-warrior and cook Erin Rhoads.

Famous for her highly regarded zero-waste blog The Rogue Ginger Erin has been a significant contributor to the national discussion about reducing waste, reducing plastic consumption.

A sought-after writer and speaker, Erin is on a mission to engage with individuals to redefine what is waste and how we can create less of it. She was a consultant on the ABC's War on Waste ; has shared skills and practical help with thousands at workshops, talks and forums; helps organise and assist environmental action groups and co-founded Zero Waste Victoria , Plastic Bag Free Victoria and Cash For Containers.

Erin has also been featured by BBC World, The Project, Sunrise, The Morning Show, The Age, Marie Claire, Peppermint Magazine, Women's Weekly, and is a regular contributor on ABC Radio.

We'll be chatting with Erin about her two bestselling and immensely practical/helpful books, Waste Not and Waste Not Everyday.

We'll also be learning how to reduce waste during the forthcoming holiday season including practical tips on food, shopping, choosing sustainable gifts, wrapping and decorating.

If you are concerned about your impact on the environment and are looking for some practical advice and achievable steps you can take at home - this event is for you.

Please join us for some pre-Christmas cheer, a few tastes inspired by Erin's two books as we chat to the 'Rogue Ginger' about transitioning our homes to zero-waste - and how easy that can be!
