Getting to the heart of it all with Beau Windon
City of Melbourne Libraries
A two-hour workshop that delves into the heart of your writing. Exploring the ways you can experiment with your own stories, injecting heart in ways that are fun, heartwarming, and surprising. Experiment with form by engaging with theories and exercises that ensure writing that grabs the reader by their collar and demands they pay attention. Whether writing from your own life or through the lens of fiction, this workshop will present an exciting new way to approach your stories. About Beau: Beau Windon is a neurodivergent author of Wiradjuri heritage based in Naarm. Unafraid of any writing form, he duels with them all. His creative non-fiction work has seen him awarded a 2021 Grace Marion Wilson Writeability Fellowship, a 2022 Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Award for self-told stories and placed as one of the winners of Griffith Review’s 2023 Emerging Voices competition.
