Is there really such thing as a “unique selling point”? This session offers market and industry tips on what to do to get your manuscript into the right hands. With Alex Hammond, who has both a novel-writing and a marketing background, learn how to use market insights when structuring your novel, write a cover letter in language publishers will understand and format your manuscript correctly.

About the Tutor:

The Sydney Morning Herald described Alex Hammond's latest novel, The Paris Collaborator, as an artfully constructed historical thriller. His first novel, Blood Witness, was nominated for a Ned Kelly Award for Best First Crime Novel. He has presented at the Emerging Writers Festival, Stonnington Literary Festival, Monash Literary Festival, State Library of Victoria, NSW Writers' Centre, Casey Winter Arts Festival, City of Yarra, and Melton City Council.
