Lunchtime Bite: Writing with Tarot

This workshop will provide an introduction to the use of tarot cards in the development of new writing. This session, suitable for those both with and without familiarity with tarot, will explore ways in which ideas can be generated and characters, plots and themes strengthened through reflection on tarot cards and their symbolic language.

This seminar will take place online. Detailed instructions for participation will be provided.

  • How to use tarot to generate ideas
  • How to use tarot to strengthen characters, plot and theme

About the Tutor:

Anna Kate Blair is Program and Partnerships Manager at Writers Victoria. Her essays, short stories and poetry have appeared in publications including Cordite, Slow Canoe, Landfall, Antithesis, Meanjin and Litro. Her first novel, The Modern, will be published by Scribner in September 2023.
