Some folks think writing children’s books is easy. We know it’s not, but we’ve got your back. This course aims to expand your skills and confidence. Join Ailsa Wild as she guides you through the writing process of middle grade chapter books. Each month, Ailsa will provide precise, constructive suggestions for improvement. All participants are also encouraged to give feedback to one another.
Writing of up to 1,000 words due 25 July, 29 August, 26 September, 31 October, 28 November.
Our Online Feedback Clinics are asynchronous, with no face-to-face meetings, allowing you to engage with the content at the times of day and week that suit your schedule. They are hosted on our private Wordpress server. There will be an optional Zoom introduction to the clinic website for those less confident with technology, which will be recorded for those who cannot attend live. About the Tutor:
Ailsa Wild is an author, performer, and creative facilitator with a history of deep collaboration. She is the author of two children’s book series: ‘Squishy Taylor’ and ‘The Naughtiest Pixie’ – both full of cheekiness and adventure. She is the lead writer with Scale Free Network creating adventure picture books and graphic novels set on the micro scale. Ailsa has been published in seven different languages, and she speaks about storytelling to audiences around Australia.
