In this workshop, you will develop your craft in pitching essays, commentary and criticism to literary journals and similar publications. Over the course of the day, you’ll learn the key components of a pitch, develop your own targeted pitches and learn to look at them critically, making your work clearer, cleaner and more compelling. You Will Learn: Structure – how to structure a basic pitch Concision – how to get across your ideas in a short amount of space Tailoring – how to adjust pitches based on the publication you are sending them to Voice – how to get across the unique point-of-view you bring to your writing Proofreading – clean copy inspires confidence!
