The Un-lecture is about breaking the traditional Australian style lecture—and remaking it. Creating a lecture where performance, song and word intersect.

Featuring prolific artists and musicians, this performative event overturns the traditional Australian style lecture. Neil Morris (DRMNGNOW) is a National Indigenous Music Award nominee and RRR broadcaster. His track ‘Australia Does Not Exist’ has been called “a potent political analysis of the state of nationhood in this land.” Sista Zai Zanda is a storyteller, educator and curator of the Pan Afrikan Poets Café, which is the home of new, cutting edge and classic African literature that brings Afrikan storytellers together in conversation with First Nations and Pasifika storytellers. Kathleen Gonzalez Villamizar is a Melbourne- based Colombian experimental-contemporary artist, cultural producer, artistic director and founder of Tunjos y Cantaros Ethnologic Dance Company. Trans-disciplinary artist wāni was selected to Australia's first spoken word team to compete in the United States NPS. He's also produced Sapologie which has featured both at Howler and The Wyndham Cultural Centre as well as the multi-nominated, Green Room Award winning solo show 'Tales Of an Afronaut.'
