Punctuation refresher for writers and editors

Editors Victoria

Event Date: 2 December 2017
Author / Presenters: Ann Philpott

Punctuation is important for writers and editors because it ensures that the meaning of a piece of writing is clear and easy to read. This workshop is designed as a refresher for those who have some knowledge of punctuation but who wish to ensure that their knowledge is up-to-date. Would you like some discussion on multiple punctuation marks at the end of sentences? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, this course is for you.

Topics covered
Semi-colons and colons
Dashes and hyphens
The apostrophe
Quotation marks
Terminating punctuation marks
Forward slashes and ellipsis points
Abbreviations and acronyms
Capital letters

Date: Saturday 2 December 2017

Time: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
