Alice Grundy’s novel Small Joys of a Real Life and Yumna Kassab’s Australiana explode quietly out of small moments into life-changing consequences. Alice Grundy talks with them about the importance of the easily overlooked, hearing and seeing when there are so many distractions, and everyday unpredictability.
