10.15am Keynote: My Life with Agatha Christie by Scott Wallace Baker (includes Q&A) Officially known as Australia’s Biggest Agatha Christie Fan, Scott Wallace Baker has been obsessed with the Queen of Crime and her work since a young lad. Winner of ABC’s Hard Quiz and festival speaker, Scott will talk about Christie’s visit to Warburton and his life-long obsession with the author.
11.15am Morning Tea: There are plenty of local cafes in the area that will provide you with good coffee and sweet sustenance.
11.45am Writers Panel: In Crime Conversation with crime writers Katherine Kovacic and Nicki Greenberg. Moderator Lindy Cameron will help us discover how the work of Agatha Christie has influenced today’s crime and mystery writers.
12.30pm Mystery Quiz Think you know your Agatha Christie and cosy crime? Quizmaster Lindy Cameron will test your mettle. There are prizes to be won.
1.15pm Lunch: Time to explore local cafes and eateries or perhaps a picnic by the river.
2.15pm Introduction to Evil Under the Sun
Scott Wallace Baker will introduce this afternoon’s film. What to watch for and behind the scenes trivia will make for fascinating viewing.
2.20pm Evil Under the Sun (1982)
When a millionaire winds up with a phony diamond, Hercule Poirot (Sir Peter Ustinov) is asked to investigate, but when a murder is committed, the case becomes more sinister.
4.20pm Q&A with Scott Wallace Baker
Scott Wallace Baker will answer your questions and reveal his memorabilia from the film.
