Defending Hong Kong

Bendigo Writers Festival

Event Date: 14 May 2022
Author / Presenters: Nathan Law (onscreen), host Elizabeth Flux

What does it mean to be truly free? And can any of us say we are free until all of us are? Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, Nathan Law was elected Hong Kong’s youngest lawmaker, before he was arrested for speaking out. His rallying cry is moving and courageous. He speaks to Elizabeth Flux about why turning away is not an option for anyone.

Some sessions in the Bendigo Bank Theatre will also stream live online: details announced soon!

Tickets $20 full / $16 concession or multi-buy.
