Down the Rabbit Hole
Melbourne Rare Book Week
Join us as we take a tumble down the rabbit hole of State Library Victoria’s Rare Book Collection and explore the surreal and whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. From mad tea parties to talking cats, Lewis Carroll’s iconic tale has continued to inspire writers, illustrators, and artists for 160 years. From rare first editions, modern adaptations, pop–up books, and translations, this collection viewing will provide an opportunity to immerse yourself in everything Alice. Collection Curators Jodi Kok, Daniel Wee, and Dr Anna Welch look forward to sharing these treasures with you.
