Melbourne Rare Book Week
The Rare Books Collection at State Library Victoria holds medieval and early – modern (pre–1900) manuscripts from Afghanistan, England, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, the Middle East, the Netherlands, and South – East Asia, many of which are digitised to aid their preservation. Join Dr Anna Welch, Principal Collection Curator, History of the Book, for a very special chance to view a selection of these manuscripts and learn about how they came to be in the Library’s collection.
