Tony Birch, Daniel Browning and Jeanine Leane talk about their latest work. No matter the diversity of forms (novel, essays, poetry) their culture profoundly informs their outlook. Tony Birch is an award winning author, activist, historian and essayist. He was recently appointed the third Boisbouvier Chair in Australian Literature at the University of Melbourne. Daniel Browning, a Bundjalung and Kullilli man, is a journalist, radio broadcaster, documentary maker, sound artist and writer. He leads the ABC's Indigenous Radio Unit, hosts RN's The Art Show and presented RN's Awaye! for many years. He's also a widely-published arts writer and former guest editor of Artlink Indigenous. Jeanine Leane is a Wiradjuri writer, poet and academic from south-west NSW. She is an award-winning poet and has published widely in the areas of First Nations literature and criticism and creative writing. Jeanine is currently First Nations Writer in Residence at the University of Melbourne.
