INSPIRING COURAGE: THE POWER OF YOUNG ADULT LITERATURE
Willy Lit Fest
Young adult literature is daring, courageous and emotionally charged. Its honesty and fearless scrutiny of the world and the human condition inspires, informs and connects its readers. Demet Divaroren will be in conversation with award winning writer Cath Crowley and debut novelist Mark Smith as they discuss how their writing pushes the boundaries. Cath Crowley’s book Words in Deep Blue is a love story about grief, loss and the power of words. Mark Smith’s dystopian thriller The Road to Winter examines courage, loss, loneliness and friendship. Demet Divaroren’s debut novel Living on Hope Street shines a light on cross-cultural friendships, difficult family relationships, racism and redemption. Join them at Williamstown Literary Festival as they share their unique perspectives on change, courage and connection.
