Seasoned storytellers Helen Garner, Jane Clifton and Wayne Macauley weave their magic in person with Jacinta Parsons doing the introductions.
Helen Garner worked as a high school teacher, then for many years as a freelance journalist. Her first book, Monkey Grip, appeared in 1977. She is well-known for her novels, stories, essays, long-form journalism and works of non-fiction. Most recently she published three volumes of her diary. She lives in Melbourne.
Jane Clifton is a performer, writer, painter, civil celebrant - three crime novels and The Address Book, a memoir. Her poetry collection, A Day At A Time in Rhyme is now a one-woman show that'll tour Victoria soon. She's had 1.5 hit records but is remembered as Margo Gaffney in Prisoner, 1979.
Wayne Macauley is a short fiction writer and novelist. His work has been shortlisted for many literary awards, including the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award (three times), the Western Australian Premier’s Book Award, the Melbourne Prize Best Writing Award and the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature..
Jacinta Parsons is a broadcaster, writer, and public speaker co-hosting The Friday Revue with Brian Nankervis on ABC Melbourne delivering Melbourne exactly what they didn't know they needed. She has written two books, Unseen (2020) and A Question of Age (2022) and is writing a third, A Wisdom of Age.
