Melbourne Young Writers’ Studio runs innovative and fun filled creative writing workshops, aimed at equipping and inspiring young writers with the skills they need to get writing and to develop their storytelling craft. Workshop details below:
11:00am – 12:00pm: Magical Journeys: Welcome young explorer to the story quest! In this workshop we'll be building magical worlds and crafting characters to call them home. Together laying the foundation for some epic story adventures. (for ages 6-10)
12:30pm – 1:30pm: Space Explorers: An immersive story making/writing experience that will see you join the crew of a space ship battling its way across the galaxy (for ages 9-12)
2:00pm – 3:00pm: Space Explorers: An immersive story making/writing experience that will see you join the crew of a space ship battling its way across the galaxy (for ages 9-12)
3:30pm – 4:30pm: The Who's Who of Story: Creating a truly great character can be half the battle in writing a great story. In this workshop we'll take a deeper look at building well-crafted characters and look at how authors dig deep within themselves to find the inspiration for characters that are memorable and that stand the test of time. (for ages 13-17)
This event is free and all ages may attend.
Bookings essential. Adults do not need to book, but attendees will need to be dropped off, picked up and signed in and out by parents/guardians.
