Join the Australian Children Laureate’s Foundation for a livestreamed morning of performances, readings and creative activities to celebrate the program launch of the newly appointed Australian Children’s Laureate for 2024 and 2025. The Australian Children’s Laureate embraces the transformational power of reading, creativity and story in the lives of young Australians. A national and international ambassador for Australian children’s literature, the Laureate is appointed on a biennial basis, and selected from our country’s leading authors and/or illustrators. Gabrielle Wang, the outgoing Laureate, called her appointment her ‘greatest honour’. Presented in partnership with the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation
