The Fair Dinkums is about soldiers from Victoria who were sent to Gallipoli and the Western Front, including William Scurry from Ascot Vale. William’s ‘drip rifle’ was used as a subterfuge in the successful withdrawal of the AIF from Gallipoli. Glenn McFarlane will be speaking about this and other stories. Free, bookings necessary.
