These collaborative sessions will cover the basics of sculpting sound through synthesis, programming beats and understanding how to work with waveforms.

Session 1: Discover Ableton Live at Kathleen Syme Library Makerspace

Join us for this beginner friendly introduction to Ableton Live and delve into the industry’s leading Music Production software. Record your own sounds and lay down some beats while building your very own creative composition.

Saturday 4 May, 11am to 12.30pm.

Session 2: Discover Synthesis at Library at The Dock Makerspace

You’ve heard of a synth, but what is a synth? How do they work? And why are they at the library? Satisfy your curiosity exploring our mad laboratory of synthesisers and electronic instruments. This hands-on session covers everything you’ll need to start exploring synthesis, warping waveforms and creating your own sonic signature.

Tuesday 14 May, 4pm to 5.30pm.

Note these sessions are at two different venues.
