Darebin Libraries

Event Date: 7 February 2017

Blak and Queer and Trans Perspectives
Join a panel of speakers for an evening of stimulating discussion about the lives and experiences of First Nations LGBTIQ people. This is your opportunity to ask questions on topics ranging from traditional knowledge and notions of gender and sexuality through to the Racial Discrimination Act and free speech in modern Australia.
The starting point for this event is the ground-breaking book Colouring the Rainbow that uncovers the often hidden world of Queer and Trans Blak Australia and tells it like it is.
Darebin Libraries is proud to support and strengthen diversity in our local community through celebration, acknowledgement and respect.

Tuesday 7 February, 7-8pm
Northcote Library
