This conference explores how school libraries create, foster and enable the reading experience to enrich their communities understanding of the world around them and themselves.
With a focus on research evidence, from leading academics, the day explores the texts, programs and understandings that underpin how school libraries support us in reading our world.
Our sessions are -
Featured Address - How do Australian Teens discover a good read? – Research findings from a national survey of secondary school students.

Featured Address - Snapshots from around the world: What are our teens reading today?

Panel – First Knowledges: Songlines - Margo Neale, Lynne Kelly with Chair - Shelley Ware
Reading - Zeno Sworder - My Strange Shrinking Parents
We will also have a Lightning Round of five minute presentations, two rounds of Concurrent Sessions showcasing wonderful examples of best practice.
The SLAV Awards will also be announced on the day, we will have a Trade Exhibition where attendees can learn about useful products and programs and The Sun Bookshop will join us as our official bookseller for the day.
