Exhibition: Paper and Ink
Jodi Wiley
Jodi Wiley's exhibition of watercolour and ink book paintings pays homage to the beautiful, tactile nature of physical books and the place they hold in every passionate reader’s heart.
Personal book collections serve as a kind of autobiography and sometimes, for the incurable bibliophile, they’re hard to cull.
Physical books imprint in our minds not only the stories within their pages but memories of who gave them to us, where we bought them or first borrowed them and what was happening in our lives at that time. We imbue them with much more meaning than an ebook read on a tablet.
Despite the reality that most of our communication is now digital, the ‘paper and ink’ book isn't going anywhere.

Launch: Thursday 14 March 2019, 6pm to 7.30pm.
