FrankTALK and book signing with Liz Hicklin

Frankston City Libraries

Event Date: 27 April 2021
Author / Presenters: Liz Hicklin

It is 1948… the war has ended and the London Olympic Games have begun.

Audrey is a young, fresh-faced English girl who meets Hubert, a young French soldier amidst a sea of spectators.

Limerence takes the reader on multiple journeys in an exploration of location, love, loss, and longing all intertwined in the incredible true account of Frenchman Hubert’s lifelong obsession with ‘English Rose’ Audrey, a girl he met and romanced briefly at London’s 1948 Olympic Games.

Time and distance take two lovers in different directions; however Hubert cannot let go of his darling Audrey and enters into a state of Limerence, writing her obsessive love letters.

Please join us for this FrankTALK and book signing with Liz Hicklin on Tuesday 27 April at 12.30pm at Frankston Library.

Liz is a naturally gifted story teller. A life tapestry woven with a rich blend of love, loss, adventure, and entrepreneurship combined with a remarkable sense of recall and a delightfully wicked sense of humour has shaped her ability to bring realism, insight and emotion to her writing, while underpinning everything with her trademark sparkle of wit.
