Free Career Workshop: Five Series Over Five Weeks

Join us for a series of 5 free career workshops presented by WIRE, RMIT Skills and Jobs Centre, and City of Melbourne Libraries. These workshops aim to support community members in their job seeking and career journeys in a supportive and understanding environment. Our workshops can help explore and identify employment possibilities, aligning your values to your work. Delivered by qualified career counsellors from RMIT Skills and Jobs Centre. Bookings essential. Location: Online or in person at, Kathleen Syme Library, wheelchair accessible. Dates: SELF-REFLECTION FOR EFFECTIVE CAREER PLANNING Thursday 2 May, 1.30pm to 2.30pm CRAFTING WINNING RESUMES Thursday 9 May, 1.30pm to 2.30pm MASTERING THE ART OF INTERVIEWS Thursday 16 May, 1.30pm to 2.30pm NAVIGATING THE JOB SEARCH AND APPLICATION PROCESS Thursday 23 May, 1.30pm to 2.30pm NETWORKING STRATEGY AND TECHNIQUES Thursday 30 May, 1.30pm to 2.30pm Zoom link and updates will be emailed to participants from Humanitix, it can be helpful to stay updated with your emails or check junk inbox - incase Humanitix emails are sent to your junk inbox. What can be helpful to bring: Paper and pen to write down notes Snacks or something nourishing Tea/Coffee/Biscuits will be provided. All community members welcomed, WIRE aims to provide a nonjudgmental and understanding space for participants, we recognise that you are the expert in your life. The topics that will be discussed in this event can disclose information that can be difficult or personal. With this in mind it can be helpful to think how we can look after ourselves and each other? This can include when information is shared. How will you support yourself through this?
