If you love comics and graphic novels why not join our graphic novel book club at City Library?
We’ll be reading and discussing the classic, the controversial and the fun. Stick around after the discussion to chat and work on your own creations.
No set text, just bring along what you’ve been reading based on our monthly theme to share and discuss with the group.
The theme for our 25 June meet up is nautical, here are some suggestions, you scurvy seadogs:
- Black is the color by Julia Gfrorer.
- Dept.H.1 by Matt Kindt.
- Cursed pirate girl by Jeremy A. Bastian.
- The underwater welder by Jeff Lemire.
- Nemo: heart of ice by Alan Moore
- One piece. Vol. 1,2,3, East blue by Eiichiro Oda.
- Bodacious space pirates. 1, Abyss of hyperspace by Tatsuo Sato.
- March of the crabs. Volume two, The empire of the crabsby Arthur de Pins.
- The sea: a graphic novel by Rikke Villadsen.
Note: some graphic novels contain adult content. Recommended for 15+ years.
