Hobsons Bay Libraries

Event Date: 14 September 2016
Author / Presenters: Abe Nouk

“I’m told I'm lucky – I could've been a child soldier.
I could've been dead. Instead, I'm still alive.
See, god don't make mistakes.
I'm blessed to testify because I know what hatred looks like.”

Sudanese-born Abraham ‘Abe’ Nouk was illiterate when he and his family arrived in Australia in 2004. Now he is the founder and director at Creative Rebellion Youth and acclaimed spoken word poet.

Share his journey to national poet and community leader.
