Join us at Beaumaris Library to celebrate the release of Kylie Ladd's new book "The Mix Up". A novelist, psychologist and freelance writer, Kylie grew up in Beaumaris and is now clearly an incredible overachiever! Her six previous novels have been published in Australia and overseas, most recently 2023's heartbreakingly beautiful "I'll Leave You With This". Kylie has also co-edited and co-authored two non-fiction books, and her essays and articles have been widely published. She holds a PhD in neuropsychology and lives in Melbourne with her husband and two children. Kylie will be in conversation with another over-achieving author, Kerryn Mayne, whose bestselling books "Lenny Marks Gets Away With Murder" and "Joy Moody is Out of Time" were both launched in Bayside at events that showcased her humour and eloquence. "The Mix Up" is a beautifully told and thought-provoking novel about a mix-up that leaves two children wondering who they really are and where they belong . . . What would you do if you found out you'd been raising another couple's child - and they've been raising yours? ‘A gifted writer who knows how to weave the complexity of relationships into a beautifully crafted story.’ MIA FREEDMAN Books will be available for sale on the night.
