Meet Barbara McCarthy, local author of two books 'Just a Hint of Autumn' and 'My windows, my views...my life and travels'. Barbara has a background in travel with a large RAF family, a sometimes-dysfunctional life, and an unpleasant relationship with her father that was never going to define her. Barbara will be talking about ‘My Windows, My Views …’, her talk will be about her experience of publishing at a more mature age.
Barbara will answer questions about publishing and about the book and will show a slideshow of photos from her early life and travels. Barbara will introduce 'Just a Hint of Autumn' and the significance of some of the stories and reflections in the book. Barbara will also introduce her next book in progress about nursing in the 1960s in the UK.
