Nicole Lee: in conversation with Claire Halliday

Whitehorse Manningham Libraries

Event Date: 9 December 2021
Author / Presenters: Nicole Lee

Nicole Lee has played a major role in shaping how Victoria responds, and works to prevent, family violence.
After suffering a decade of abuse at the hands of her former husband, Nicole draws on her lived-experience of family violence to speak out for those who don’t yet have a voice. Her ongoing efforts, working within the prevention of family violence space, have included being an important part of Victoria’s first Victim Survivors’ Advisory Council, as well as being a passionate advocate for women with disabilities.
Join Nicole in conversation with writer/interviewer Claire Halliday during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence as we call out violence against women and explore what needs to be done to eliminate violence in the lives of women and children throughout Victoria and Australia. Zoom invite will be emailed to registered participants at least one hour prior to the session.
Content warning: This event deals with sexual abuse and domestic violence.

A Zoom link will be emailed closer to the event. If you have not received the link at least one hour before the scheduled start please phone any branch during opening hours.
