Open Poetry Reading
Join the fabulous Brian Nankervis for a Bayside Library Service poetry afternoon. Come along and hear local poets read their poems, interspersed with Brian reading a selection of limericks that have been sent in for judging.
All ages welcome to step up to the mic and have some fun. You have 2 minutes to capture your audience – just you and the microphone!
Winners decided by audience panel selected on the day.
1st Prize $150
2nd Prize $100
3rd Prize $50
Limerick prize ($50) as judged by Brian Nankervis. Got a fun limerick to share? Then send it to lhayton@bayside.vic.gov.au by 6pm on Friday 9 August.
Keep your limerick family friendly and come along to see if Brian selects your limerick as his top choice to read out on the day.
