Songtimes on Wadawurrung Country is a songbook with five children’s songs featuring simple words and phrases of the Wadawurrung language, written in collaboration with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation and published in October 2022. Join panellists and project leaders Corrina Eccles (Traditional Owner, Wadawurrung), Kelly Caldwell (teacher, artist, songwriter) and Ben Shaw (permaculturist, songwriter, musician), with panel chair, local children’s, and YA author Sue Lawson, to discuss this ground-breaking project addressing the lost language of Wadawurrung Country. Featuring a live performance of songs from the book and opening with a Welcome to Country by Corrina Eccles.
