Stonnington Libraries

Event Date: 18 November 2017
Author / Presenters: Michael and Pippa James (Tivoli Road Bakery), Mat Pember (Little Veggie Patch Co) and Roslyn Grundy (Good Food Guide co-editor)

The food we eat shapes our interactions with the world and each other. Join Michael and Pippa James from Tivoli Road Bakery and Mat Pember from The Little Veggie Patch Co for a discussion about the path our food takes to reach us, moderated by Good Food Guide co-editor Roslyn Grundy. Together they’ll explore the role of heritage grains in the diet, discoveries in native ingredients, and the sustainability, ethics and future of food production.

Michael James is an accomplished chef and baker. Pippa James had a career in managing restaurants before buying Tivoli Road Bakery with Michael in 2013. Their first book, The Tivoli Road Baker, is out November 2017. Mat Pember has written three bestselling gardening books and is a regular contributor to Gourmet Traveller, Herald Sun and Slow Magazine. Roslyn Grundy has been writing about food for more than 20 years and has edited several books on food, art and design.
