We are pleased to invite you to Reading Connects, a global forum dedicated to the future of literature, the promotion of reading and meaningful connections among Cities of Literature and Reading Advocates worldwide. This virtual event will take place on December 3rd, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CET via Zoom Webinar. The forum is designed to offer a unique platform for experts, stakeholders, and cultural institutions to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore innovative approaches to promoting literacy and fostering literary engagement in cities across Europe and beyond. Whether you’re working in a cultural institution, a city-wide literary project, or simply passionate about advocating for reading, this event will provide invaluable insights and networking opportunities.

Program Overview (Tentative):

  • 10:00 – 10:15 | Greetings & Introduction
  • 10:15 – 11:00 | Keynote Lectures Featuring leaders in the fields of literature and cultural advocacy, sharing their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in promoting reading.
  • 11:00 – 11:40 | Parallel Sessions Breakout discussions on key themes
  • 11:40 – 12:00 | Conclusion & Wrap-up Session A final session summarizing the key takeaways from the forum and setting the stage for future collaborations.
