Whitehorse Manningham Libraries
When music writer/broadcaster, Stuart Coupe, wrote his 2015 biography Gudinski - The Godfather of Australian Rock and Roll - it was an intriguing insight into the most powerful and influential figure in the Australian rock and roll business.
Since MIchael Gudinski's untimely passing, aged 68, in March, 2021, sharing the incredible story of the man many knew as GODinski, has become even more important.
With personal insights into the life of the man who nurtured the careers of so many local artists, including Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Barnes, Paul Kelly, Skyhooks, Split Enz and Yothu Yindi, Stuart's book also reveals tales of Michael's Frontier Touring Company and its connection to international superstars, such as the Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and Sting.
Join author Claire Halliday in conversation with Stuart Coupe to delve into Michael Gudinski's life and legend - a unique backstage pass to forty years of Australian rock. Free event but bookings essential. Zoom link will be sent to registered participants
