True Crime: Wedderburn

Yarra Plenty Regional Library

Event Date: 23 March 2019
Author / Presenters: Maryrose Cuskelly

Maryrose Cuskelly comes to the library to discuss her new book, 'Wedderburn' - the true crime book about the grisly events in 2014 in Central Victoria of a farming dispute that resulted in a triple murder.

Ian Jamieson; an unassuming 65 year old farmer, took his hunting knife and killed his young neighbour, stabbing him 25 times.

He then returned to his farmhouse. He took his two shotguns from the house, and shot his neighbour's mother and step father.

He then returned home and called the police.

The question that author Maryrose leaves with us: Is murder something that lives next door to us all? You can look forward to hearing from Maryrose about why and how she wrote this true crime story.
