The Hobsons Bay Libraries summer writing prize has returned with a new look.
Write by the Bay is the revamped Prep to Year 12 writing prize. Along with our usual categories of poetry and short story, there is also an exciting new category - songwriting! If you're a budding lyricist, now is your time to shine.
Write by the Bay runs from Wednesday 1 February until Tuesday 18 April. The new competition timeframe (Term one instead of the summer holidays) makes room for creative writing workshops at your school led by one of our librarians. Please book us in for a visit.
Awards Night:
Andy Griffith, co-author of the Treehouse and author of the Just! series, will be our special guest for our awards night! He'll be helping us celebrate Hobsons Bay's young writers in what will be a fun night.
