Over four months (July to October), submit up to 1,200 of your work in progress and receive personalised feedback from Hoa and your peers. The feedback will focus on areas such as world building, character development human and non-human, mythology (if appropriate), structure, point of view(s) and narrative voice(s).
This feedback clinic is suited for anyone seeking to advance or polish their manuscript.
You Will Learn:
- To develop and refine your project through regular submissions and personalised feedback.
- To refine craft and technique with provided tools.
- To develop critical reading skills through peer review.
- Build discipline through consistent writing.
About the Tutor:
Hoa Pham is the author of eight books. Her first book Vixen about a fox fairy was awarded the Best Young Writer Award by the Sydney Morning Herald and shortlisted for Best Fantasy Novel of the Year by the Aurealis Awards. The Other Shore about a Vietnamese psychic won the Viva la Novella Prize. She is currently working on a fantasy set in the Gold Rush times in Victoria where dragons are real and bring luck and pearls to those deserving on the goldfields.
