Evening Appetiser: Writing Light in Poetry
Writers Victoria
In this generative workshop, remain curious about the potentials of working critically with light, dark, shadow and reflection in poetry. By moving through selected readings from a broader corpus of queer, trans and anti-colonial work, you’ll learn to read light and shadow in poetry as more than inert, backgrounded material into its potential for building and enhancing imagery that, paraphrasing Francis Bacon, resounds through the nervous system more violently.
