Lunchtime Bite: Filtering Feedback
New writers are encouraged to join writers’ groups and attend workshops. Often these include sharing work and giving and receiving feedback. Though most courses provide ‘how to’ guides on working with feedback, they can’t ensure no harm. Even well-meaning readers can bruise new work and a writer’s confidence. In this session, explore the desire for feedback and ways to listen while minimising the risk of being discouraged from writing and sharing your work.
